Socialization is a life-long process due to a few factors; one being that society itself is never going to know the actual halt of itself and will always seem to discover new issues. Technology is constantly being upgraded and newly invented, and when it is, certain events tend to follow, such as; cultural diffusion(different specific traits to one culture, spreading to another), new perspectives on values and norms, and a whole new set of values or a massive value shift. Another factor as to why it is a life long process, is because we are social beings and we live by working together and talking among one another. If we did not have socialization, then function in a public setting, or a group setting in general would be limited, to totally dysfunctional. Socialization involves cooperation, it involves particular areas of life like employment, which is highly dependent on socialization, and it also involves personal benefits and goals that are extremely difficult to achieve without a necessary degree of socialization. Not entirely needing 100%, but life definitely requires a rather high level of such socialization.
